How To Set Up Custom Instructions in ChatGPT

1. Open ChatGPT.

2. Go to settings, click on Beta Features, toggle the option for “Custom Instructions”. At the bottom left section of the screen.

3. Close the Settings window.

4. You will notice a green pop-up close to the three dots and your account email. Click on the 3 dots, and now notice the “Custom Instructions” button.

5. Click on the “Custom Instructions” button, read the tool tip, and click OK.

6. Add instructions for both text boxes.

   1. What would you like ChatGPT to know about you to provide better results?

   2. How would you like ChatGPT to respond?

7. Select whether it’s applied for New Chats or not, then close the window.

8. Watch the outputs change as you interact with ChatGPT in new or previously created chats with the new Custom Instructions feature.
